   We had an amazing time ...waited by the bar standing but a cute waiter brought us some drinks… The Piano Player was adorable. It was my friends birthday. The food was delicious. We shared a bunch of plates and sat in the chapel room… Sugar bear was our waiter the whole thing was delicious and happy and festive … Wish I could go back every Tuesday of my life

   Just love the entire experience. Excellent service- from the time you walk in the door ! We love to dine at the bar and usually they can accommodate! Food is great- menu is not huge but adequate. I seem to always order duck! Piano player, bartenders, servers- all excellent !

   First time here. Came to the city for a show at the Saenger. The restaurant has several dining rooms and a nice bar area. We were greeted and seated promptly at the street-side area. A fresh candle was lighted at our table. The overall ambiance is very good. The place started filling up quickly after about 5:30. As one might expect in a vibrant French Quarter location, folks were somewhat animated with their voices. The food was excellent. We had the escargot aux champignons for a shared starter—divine! She had the crabmeat au gratin which she really liked. I had the San Francisco style Cioppino. It was loaded with fish and shellfish. The only drawback was it was a little over-spiced for my taste. Otherwise I highly recommend it. Dessert was shared: Bananas Foster bread pudding a la mode. Delicious. Extensive wine list, with by-the-glass options. Service (we had Michael) was attentive; dish descriptions were thorough and accurate. Something we would like to see changed is the volume of the music. It was quite loud and made conversation challenging. The selection of songs was great, however. We will be back again on a subsequent visit to the Crescent City.

   Very nice restaurant and the food was excellent, the service on the other hand was very poor. Our server Michael spent way too much time pandering to a table that was 2 down from ours, in the hour we spent at Irene’s he spent about half of it talking to this 4 top and another 10 mins talking to the table next to us. We were greeted quickly and seated immediately, it took Michael 10 mins to acknowledge our presence and only after we had been served water by a completely different server. When he finally came over we ordered drinks but were not told about any of the specials. Fearing that we would be waiting again we ordered our food when he returned with our drinks, my wife was offered a salad but I was not. We never saw Michael again until we asked him for check.

   Our waiter AJ was awesome. He explained everything very professionally and the surface was quick. We sat in the little dining room off to the left arm of the host check in area. The ambience was very romantic. We were a small group, and enjoyed very much The appetizer of the sausage with the eggplant. Two of us had the cioppino, which I can highly recommend. One guest had the lasagna which he said was absolutely excellent I have been waiting for three trips to New Orleans to finally get a reservation to get in Irene’s, and now I see what all the fuss is about. Don’t miss it.

   It was five stars, ambiance, food was amazing. We enjoyed the piano player. Our server Hunter was engaging and attentive. You must enjoy a dinner at Irene's I highly recommend 👌

    Great food, great service, overall a wonderful experience at a reasonable price. They had very good specials in addition to the main menu.
