We’d never been before so this was a pleasant surprise! Our group of 5 sat around one of the fire pits and appreciated the warm blankets provided and the fire. Food was delicious and wine was perfect! We came for the live music bc we knew someone in the band. We had a really fun time and hope to return soon!

Valentine’s dinner with House of Oliver was underwhelming to say the very least. My date and I had reservations for 8 PM. We were sat at a small table to the left of the live singer. The music was good, but was so loud we could barely hear each other. The dining experience of the evening was the most disappointing aspect. My date had ordered the $80 premium wine pairing which she wasn’t even able to enjoy. The reason being that the courses came out so rushed, there was no possible way to pair the glass of wine that was assigned to the correct course because by the time you had your first few bites and sips of wine, the next course was already on the table. There was three to five minutes given between each course which caused crowding of unfinished dishes on the minimal table space. this was ultimately due to ample time not being given to efficiently enjoy each course. It felt once we sat down, they wanted us out. We both had ordered the filet medium rare which was supposed to be served with potatoes, it was unfortunately served with bland wild rice. It appeared they had ran out of potatoes, so they substituted them for the rice, the rice was supposed to be served with the other entrée, which was salmon not with the steak. The complaint here is that it wasn’t a good pairing and it wasn’t what we ordered. We arrived around 8:15 PM, and had received our entrées at 8:45 PM. The wine pairings had to be scattered because it was not possible to keep up physically with how fast the courses were coming out. The experience felt rushed and sloppy. The true disappointment is that this was a $500 dinner for two people after tip, and it was absolutely not worth the price point. Service charge was not disclosed verbally, so we paid an additional 25% tip and did not realize until we got home. This was our first experience at House of Oliver restaurant, and I am unsure if I would ever return again or recommend them for a special evening.

Price per plate for Valentines Dinner way over priced for what you received. Disappointed. Been there before for this event and it had better food for a cheaper price. 2 meals 3 drinks, $340.00. Ridiculous! Cut up Tri-Tip steak w/sauce, potatoes, vegetables, 3 ravioli’s and a dessert to share. I was in sticker shock when I received the bill. I could have gone to a nice steak house or seafood restaurant for half the price. That is the last time we go there.

Management is unfriendly and has never greeted us on the 2 occasions we’ve visited. He visited with everyone in the restaurant except my wife and I.

House of Oliver was a nice change of pace from the usual dining experience in Roseville. The small venue was crowded and felt a bit cramped but not claustrophobic. My wife usually uses a wheelchair and that would have been impossible given the small footprint and table arrangement. Thankfully she was able to use her walker to get into the restaurant. We had a reservation for a table for four but there were no tables available. The kindness of a couple at a four top and their willingness to move to a two top was the only reason we were able to be seated. The service was good but I could tell the two servers were stretched thin as they were responsible for tables inside and outside the restaurant. Still, we did not feel like we were neglected. Drinks were excellent. The food was upscale bar food and very good. We appreciated the live musicians. The volume level was great even with live music. We were able to easily converse at our table without issue.

Great atmosphere and great entertainment. Love sitting inside or out on the patio - there is no bad seat in the house. Great place to meet friends or a date. Matthew and Siobhan are wonderful hosts. The staff is awesome and all work hard to serve every customer.

This was a bad choice for New Year's Eve dinner. There was a set menu, starting with what the restaurant claimed were crab cakes......horrible tasting balls of something but we didn't recognize crab. Next up a small, unimpressive salad, mostly stems. Then my wife had the salmon, a tiny piece which she said was "just okay". I "upgraded" and went with the prime rib which they charged an additional $15 for......cold and tasteless. Service was not responsive and painfully slow.......the check included an automatic 20% tip so there was little motivation apparently. They ran out of the dessert.....so the waitperson described a cheesecake to us, only to realize he was thinking of tiramisu?? This is basically a wine bar. We had hoped to get a decent NYE meal nearby but we failed miserably. We do not plan on coming back here any time soon.

We went there New Years Eve. I understand prices are higher for this evening, but for what we were served, it was terrible. The salmon was dry and had human hair in the plate. They did replace the dish, but with no apology of discount. One guest had the wine pairing which came at an additional cost and they forgot to serve it timely, so we had to remind them of that. I got 6 raviolis for $85. We were charged $20 for each glass of wine when it said $15 on the menu. Way overpriced and the food fell way short. Be better if you are going to take people's hard earned money. House of Oliver has been there a while so it must have a following. We are not those followers. Happy New Year

Good food. Service was good and polite but had to ask for pepper multiple times. The tables were so uncomfortable and ridiculous for my 6 foot 4 inch husband. Ambience was ok. It needs some work.

So disappointed. Tri tip dinner most expensive and meat tasted terrible. One bartender only on duty on a Saturday at 4:00”. Slow. He was very friendly though. Benjamin. Very few patrons. The outdoors is tented and good for winter. I think this was my last try to have a good time. Moving on.
