We came for the New Year special, 4-course dinner at $60 per person. Excellent value and great food. A steal at $60!!! We sit at the bar and enjoy the level of service provided by Rachel and others that evening. What we didn't like was the music! It became louder and louder as the evening wore on, it had a heavy repetitive beat and gave us both a headache! Surely you can do better than this?

Our server was incredibly personable but seemed to have far too many tables across the restaurant, given how many staff there seemed to be working. The dip starter was generous and the calamari was tasty. The main disappointment and an enormous pet peeve of mine is when mains come out before starters are finished or cleared, so we had a massive dip board, starter plates on a small table and one person still eating, while we had to hold up plates, and scramble to make room. I had a difficult time getting a second drink, there was no salt or pepper on the table or offered and the start of dinner seating seemed like an odd time to be taking down Christmas decorations. The worst by far was the single scallop “upsell” on my lobster pappardelle for $8 making a $43 entree $51! Ordinarily we like to linger over drinks and perhaps coffees and liquors, but I was rather put off by the rush then wait lack of service. I was given gift cards which I wanted to use but frankly even taking advantage of the no GST, I don’t see us returning any time soon.

We have been coming here sporadically over the years. Food quality is reliable and consistent. Service was very good but portion sizes have definitely decreased. This is a great meeting spot but definitely not a place to take athletes or hungry teens unless you are prepared to order double entrees.

We have been here many times. Our waiter was not good this time. We invited friends and we waited for 2nd round of drinks for 45 minutes while eating food. Either the bar was overwhelmed/understaffed or our waiter didn't follow up. We were served water only 2 times, which was when we asked for it. This is a very important point of making sure we have water. Our glasses were empty at least 80% of the time. But after around 9.30 PM, the waiter kept coming and asking if he could clean any plates, or if we needed anything else(which was only to get the bill). Eventually, he said he was done for the night so if he could get us pay. This is okay, but this persistent ask should have been there for all night.
