Food was just OK. Two of the four lunch orders were served in a reasonable period of time, but the other two were forgotten--the interval between the first two and the second was at least 15 minutes. We suspect the order was lost and was only "found" after we managed, with difficulty, to get someone's attention to inquire about it. The fries (with the first-delivered order) were cold, too.

This was just a randomly selected restaurant close to the Ed Sullivan Theater that would take reservations. We got a timely reservation and we were seated immediately. The pre fix menu happened to look perfect and had many options. We decided on that and we were absolutely thrilled. The food was great and the service was as well. We felt very lucky to have discovered this place and will return next year when we return to NYC. Thanks for a great evening!

We had a great time and a great dinner! The staff was flexible with our group - we had DJ wine join us for drinks - and the food was delicious!

Excellent service, food, quality. Nice menu with pre-theater option. Dinner prices were reasonable for the quality but drinks and wine too pricey. Only downside is the noise level. Ask for a table upstairs as it is a bit quieter.

Good choice for a good meal pre- or post-theater. As a result it can be crowded and the staff can seem overwhelmed. The pace of service was problematic - wine came after meal was in front of us, bread after soup was nearly finished. Sound level was surprisingly decent, could actually have a conversation with my dining companion, although the adjacent private event was a bit distracting in terms of noise.

WALTER is a gem. So funny and attentive and handled the pre-theatre crowd beautifully. Upstairs dining is a bit less rowdy than downstairs where main bar is but the entire place really is great for theatre dining. The corn/couscous appetizer is fabulous. Ask for Walter- he’s the best!
