    First time to the garden and to this restaurant. It was a bit noisier than we would have liked but it was a good experience overall. The food was tasty and well presented. The service was good, although somewhat slow surprisingly. There were many dishes on the menu that we would like to return to try!

    Beautiful setting outdoors and delicious food options from their famous burger to Elk Chop and Boar entree! Our server Andrew was top notch! Wonderful evening!

    Lovely dinner last night at Gertrude’s. The Caesar Salad with Salmon came with a full size, perfectly cooked piece of Salmon. Our waiter was attentive and when asked to sing us a Christmas Song, he stood by the table and gave us a wonderful start to our Holiday Season. Thank you to all at Gertrude’s and The Desert Botanical Gardens!

    Go early if you want to be outside in a quiet setting. It gets louder as it fills up.

    For several years we've enjoyed celebrating my birthday night at the Desert Botanical Gardens Luminaria event. We always preclude the stroll with a relaxing dinner at Gertrudes. Last night was a disappointment. We ordered wine and a cocktail before dinner and a bottle off Pinot for the meal . The drinks were served promptly at which time our server said would you like to order which we did. We ordered a Ceasars salad and entree. In 5 minutes all the food was delivered at one time. No opportunity for cracked pepper or parmesan cheese etc.for the salad. 5 mins later the Pinot arrived. The table was very full as we had barely started our before dinner drinks. Not my idea of a nice relaxing dinner. Came to almost $200 without tip.

    A wonderful meal at Gertrude’s. Highly recommend. Great server and perfect table outside amongst the lights and Luminarias. Food was innovative and excellent.
