    Second time here - and both…OUTSTANDING! From the hostess’ first greeting, to the waitstaff and waiter…GRACIOUS. If you’re at the Botanical Gardens / come early or stay late… but definitely dine at Gertrude’s.

    Farm to table dining. Unique menu. Delicious combinations of tastes. Moderately priced. Steak highest priced item. Appitizers, salads, sandwiches & dinner entrees start after 3:30pm. One of my favorite restaurants in Pheonix. Plus you get the Desert botanical garden setting. Indoor & outdoor seating. Heaters for outside seating. Never have been uncomfortable sitting outdoors. Truely a gem in a beautiful setting.

    The cusine was excellent as it always is. The hostess did not seem interested in helping us determine inside or outside seating and salads were delivered with the the main course.

    The best thing we had was the elite fritters. All else was way too sweet and really not enjoyable.

    My husband and I went to Gertrude's for dinner on 12/28 before attending Las Noches de Las Luminarias at the Desert Botanical Garden. We sat outside and Josh was our server and he was excellent! What a perfect night! We started with the Elote Fritters, which were amazing! Such a wonderful combination of flavors. For our entrée, we split the Gertie's Burger - ordered it medium well, and it was cooked perfectly. It came with a side of fingerling potatoes, which are one of my favorite things at Gertrude's. To drink we had a glass of their delicious Berry Basil Lemonade. If you've never been to Gertrude's, I highly recommend it. We've eaten there on several occasions and have never been disappointed.
