Cool outdoor seating with heaters, perfect for this time of year. Superb food. The gardens look cool too. Need to come back and see both the gardens and the restaurant again.

This venue continues to suffer from poor managment and administrative issue. While the servers are friendly and competent the food is good, the initial interactions with the hostess and dealing with reservations and requests leaves much to improve. We had requested an indoor table at the time of our reservation (3 weeks in advance ) as my wife cannot handle the cold due to a medical issue. We were seated directly in front of the open outside patio door which was very cold. When we asked to be reseated away from the cold we were told all other tables had been reserved despite many empty tables which remained empty during the entirety of our meal. Several couples who arrived after us were seated at 4 tops away from the door. Our initial waitperson did kindly reseat us but the hostess made it clear this was not acceptable. This was not the first time we have had issues with seating requests and hostess interactions. In the future we will look to dine elsewhere before or after our DBG visit.

The service was great, but the food is overpriced. And if you have overpriced food it should be remarkable, it is just mediocre.

Our waiter (Josh) was excellent. We ordered the rib-eye dinners. The steaks were mediocre. Very tough. Not worth $48/plate. The waiter gave us dessert and a discount. Love the ambiance at Gertrudes, steaks not so good. Thank You.

It was our first time at Gertrudes. We each ordered the Gertie burger. The burgers were good. Our service was really good too. Our server was attentive and made sure we had what we needed. The only draw back was that the restaurant inside was cold due to the cold air coming in from the outside seating. It was a cold and windy night. Would be nice if the doors to the patio could be kept shut on such nights.
