My family and I had dinner here last night, including two children under 10, and it was absolutely ideal. The kids' menu had great options, and the main courses for the adults were delicious. The atmosphere and interior design were fantastic—stylish yet welcoming. We had a really lovely evening and will definitely be coming back.

Seated on time and looked after with care and efficiency throughout. Meals choice limited and both dishes we chose required extra side dishes to have any meaningful vegetables, when the food is already expensive. Food arrived on time, as described, piping hot on warm plates. Well cooked but had to ask for a dressing, rather than it being offered. Didn't have shiraz, which seems strange, this being a staple wine, but first pinot noir I was brought undrinkable. Replaced with grace and kindness by something far better. 5 ladies' toilets and 3 had no toilet paper early in the evening... Will not return.

Sadly disappointed alas, nothing to do with the service, which was lovely as ever. However the food was just just not up to par; on every level. What used to be a great German restaurant is now simpering and close to banality. I’m sorry GG, but speaking as someone who has eaten all over Germany and Austria, (regularly) you really need to understand your basics. The perfect example was your potato and sausage soup! An absolute staple of German/Austrian cuisine, and one of my heart felt warming dishes. But you served an insipid weak potato soup with a few meagre sausage slices dropped on-top! (I noticed that you serve two variants of this dish, one as a vegetarian option and one a meat option with added sausage) sounds trivial I suppose, but the soup had no depth, no life! Dropping in cold sausage onto a vegetarian soup ISN’T potato sausage soup! And you know it! I could easily go on…… but my life isn’t long enough. You know where your corners are being cut! And obvs you’re catering for a tourist market perhaps? I was once a strong advocate, and enjoyed my time with you over many years as either a guest or part of a party etc, recommend many times over. The service was lovely, and attentive. So thank you for this.

Firstly, I have visited before and had a fantastic experience- we were upstairs and had a beautiful view and great service and couldn’t wait to come back, I booked in advance and asked for a nice table for my husbands 40th, as it was a special occasion. When we arrived we were seated on a table between two busy lanes and by the toilets. So my request was clearly ignored. I understand tables are subject to availability but that’s why I booked well in advance. We ordered the food and it was good, the cocktails were great too and service was fine (although slow to get anyone’s attention). When we got the bill, it had a £1 fee added for “charity”. I read the bill and it said it was discretionary so I asked the server to take it off the bill. I would say she was resistant a little and even went as far as saying “it’s for a good cause, it’s to help us” but reluctantly said “fine I’ll remove it”. So she made me feel pretty guilty about removing it. I followed up and asked what she meant by it was for them, and I pointed out that I was happy to pay service charge in full. She badly explained in so many words it was “for people in restaurants to get back on their feet” no idea what it means even now but after I paid a lot for a meal and it was my husbands birthday, I shouldn’t feel bad about asking for a discretionary fee to be removed, It shouldn’t be included automatically. I know it’s only £1 but it’s the principle, where does it end? We’ve had good memories but probably won’t be back again, as we were disappointed overall.
