I used to eat at GB’s all the time pre-Covid. Celebrated many holiday meals there. Figured I’d try this year …. The main problem was that there were too many diners, such that we were 20 min late getting seated and the limited wait and kitchen staff were over-burdened and could not keep up. Tables weren’t turning because diners were waiting for courses. The kitchen and wait staff should be commended. The poor hostess at the front deserves hazard pay for all she was dealing with. She was amazing — keeping her cool in the midst of chaos. I know the restaurant business is about making money — but you sacrificed the dining experience for an extra buck. Moreover, because of all the rushing (and I know you have to appeal to a cross section of guests) the food was extraordinarily bland. Christmas dinner will definitely be elsewhere.

Went for thanksgiving dinner and wasn’t so thrilled. Long wait to be seated, long wait to receive cold food and then receive a smaller portion of food after returning the cold food. Not worth the price. Staff was also unprofessional and careless

Food was extremely average. Au gratin potatoes were undercooked. Service was good for a busy Thanksgiving crowd. Would not do Thanksgiving there again.

Georgia Browns is always amazing anytime we visit but especially on Thanksgiving! The food is incredible, the service is outstanding. GB never fails to deliver even on a busy holiday. Remains one of my DC favorites!

Food was excellent, from appetizers to dessert. Our waiter, Jose, was excellent as well. We've been here before and will come back.

We have been here a few times. Great food, great waiters at the table, but the front reception / check in desk can be more welcoming and attentive and less “harried/operational” in their client facing moments and general approach.

Been here several times over the past two decades. Place seems to offer great consistency in food and service which were both good this time. We ate early, 5:00 pm, and the noise was building from the bar area when we left about 6:30pm - no surprise, but keep in mind that during normal dinner times it will be a bit noisier than we experienced. My only gripe was the presumptuousness of this restaurant to include a 22% tip in the bill without warning or any obvious way to get rid of it without making a fuss. 22% is way over the top - I'm tired of paying top tier prices and then being expected to pay the staff also because the owners are too cheap. So, that's my gripe and my last time at this joint.
