Inspired by the wood-fired Robata grills of Japan, Mizu offers a refreshed take on live-fire cooking atop the Hyatt Centric in the heart of Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood. Opened in August of 2021 and named one of 2022's "25 Best New Restaurants" and "50 Best Restaurants" by Charlotte Magazine, the rooftop restaurant by Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) combines the traditions of ancient Japanese cooking with Southern influences and Asian flavors. The kitchen, anchored by Mizu’s own Robata grill, features a seafood-focused menu composed of wood-fired, raw, and chilled offerings.The beverage program focuses on bright, easy-drinking libations using Japanese spirits and seasonal ingredients, complementing the cuisine and atmosphere. With a chic, minimalist design with natural elements throughout, the restaurant, named for the Japanese word for water, offers sweeping rooftop views from the patio, as well as sophisticated interiors and comfortable lounge and bar seating.
