MICHELIN RECOMMENDED.Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the base of the historic Homer Building and the Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district. Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus. A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

    This is a neighborhood favourite of my family & my nieces. The warm customer sevice & attentiveness of our server Tate was very much appreciated.     "WOW" What a beautiful experience - inviting and exhilarating, starting with the friendly greeting, and ending with a friendly farewell, this restaurant does not disappoint. Having never experienced this style of Japanese cuisine, in my own words it's like "Japanese Soul Food". The bistro style atmosphere elevates the experience of the incredibly delicious and perfectly executed cuisine. This is by no means anything but amazing food. You just have to dive in and try things. Not one single plate disappointed and the delicious cocktails were a bonus. One time in particular, the Curry Poutine stood out because it is a beautiful example of natural fusion of Japanese and Canadian cuisine. I hesitate to use the word "fusion" but i'm not sure what else I'd call it other than a natural outcome of talented people making wonderful food representative of their own culture perfectly integrated with another one. Service was on point, every single member buzzing about like a colony of bees - you can kindly ask any one of them for anything! It's like walking into a family gathering. Bravo Guu Toramasa! Bravo Arigato Gozaimasu !

    We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Homer Street Café & Bar. We sat at the counter and had an amazing view of some wonderful chefs creating delicious food. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed three small plate items (tapas) and everything was cooked to perfection and served hot. Loved the wine as well. We will definitely be back when visiting Vancouver again and will recommend to friends visiting as well. Happy New Year!
