- MMarnaVIPNew York City •21 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe have dined frequently at the Griswold Inn but last night was the first time we dined there with the strolling carolers. It was really quite special such a beautiful historic location to have a holiday meal with the people you love and a little bit of Christmas spirit! The short ribs, as always, were on point and delicious and I don't know you did something extra good to the mashed potatoes last night too! We also loved the oysters and the baked cod was so fresh and yummy.More infoThe Griswold InnPrice: Expensive• American• Essex•4.5
- JJamesNew York City •58 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 15, 2024Always hesitate to leave a positive review because it only means a favorite eating place will get even more jammed. That said, we like coming to the Public House. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is plentiful and generally quite delicious. Julia our server was especially friendly, but without intruding. After taking our orders, she checked back several times to see if everything was ok and/or if we needed anything more. (On other occasions, Marsha has been great, but she does not work on Saturdays). The food was good. New England Clam Chowder. French Onion Soup & Chopped Wedge Salads were delicious. Wings were good; Chicken Picatta less so because the lemon sauce with capers tasted definitely like an add on instead of being infused into the chicken. All in all, however, it was another good evening... and a good dinner. We'll be back!More infoSouthampton Publick HousePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Southampton•4.5
