Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail. Keeping with that tradition, guests of Post will have an opportunity to “Ring the Bell”, which signifies that they have bought a beer for our hard working kitchen and waitstaff. Whether you are coming in to dine with family and friends, grabbing a drink and an appetizer, or picking up takeout on the way home, Post is here for you – rain or shine.

A&B Burgers is one of those restaurants, one that has transitioned into a dining scene based around hospitality, creative menus and a space driven by the energy of the bar. Not everyone feels like eating a burger and with that in mind, we built a menu that offers options for those times. We have guests who have been dining with us for 8 years now and have never eaten one of our award-winning burgers, instead, they enjoy sharing a few small plates to start and then order entrees with a bottle of wine. Just because we are so well known for our award-winning burgers doesn’t mean that’s all we do well. Mile Marker One waterfront restaurant offers four season indoor dining and igloo dining on the marina with stunning views of fishing boats, some you'll recognize from television. We have fresh local clams, fresh local lobster, hake, halibut, and a stunning lobster grilled cheese sandwich with sage butter. We're about friends, family, fun and we even have music some Wednesdays. Local bartenders are always coming up with new drinks like our signature "Purple Rain."     Wanted to find a new local place for date night dinner and found Ellis Square Social. Perfect vibe for us on a cold winter evening! Fun cocktails not overly proofy. My entree of pork chop with pumpkin bread pudding, apples, and mushrooms was excellent and my husband really enjoyed his grilled cheese with brisket that came with a huge pile of thin fries. Sticky toffee pudding we got for dessert was so good! Our waitress was lovely and helpful. Can’t wait to go back.

    Wonderful food. Can’t say enough good things about the staff. Big shout out to Aaron! Seated quickly with a 6:15 reservation. It got busy quickly after that but no chaos. Next time I may just have the onion dip and homemade chips for dinner! Very tasty. Third time, will be going again. Becoming our favorite place!
