Do you love Italian food? Try some of our specialties: the "Mamma Mia" features mouth-watering meatballs with pasta and southern Mediterranean-spiced sauce, Veal Osso Bucco, Lamb Shank, steaks, and a plethora of seafood including halibut, salmon and sand dabs! For our gluten-free guests, we can also provide gluten free pasta and bread. *Patio availability depending on weather. We do have plenty of heat lamps but do not have covered tables outdoors.     A fantastic find in Carmel. Food, service and setting all excellent. Wine list is pricey but comprehensive. It was my wife’s birthday and they gave her a card and decorated the table. Nice touches.

    Carmel Bistro Giovanni has been our go to place in Carmel. Preparation of food has always been consistent and recipes never change. Service is one of the best in town.

    Kicking off the New Year enjoying a spicy lunch, the BEST margaritas sitting in the corner booth next to the fireplace. As regulars we were met with one of our favorite servers that remembered we love their salsa bring us extra along with warm seasoned tortilla chips as we waited for our chicken/beef fajitas that arrived on a sizzling platter with lots of onions, peppers, tomatoes and a slightly charred jalapeño..yummo. Cheers to 2025!!

    Great food, cute location, friendly server! Also had live music- a bonus since it was unplanned-for. Since we had a group of 4, we went for the "small" island basket, which was 3 entrees and 2 appetizers on a giant woven basket / platter. Very special experience (and SO much food :-) Only downside was that we'd originally made lunch reservations but the restaurant was clearly not open when we showed up (on time for the reservation itself; half an hour after the restaurant's opening time for the day). Ended up going in for dinner instead (hence the "unplanned" part of the live music). Would highly recommend, aside from the owner's opening-up glitch.
