Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Sorrento Mesa

Reserved this for afternoon high tea for a birthday. Will say it was a 10/10 experience. The ambiance was beautiful, quiet, and we had a live pianist. The tea was really good! We felt that by the second pour the flavors were more prominent. The tower of food was excellent! I would return again!

We came for the Beef Wellington special event to celebrate our anniversary. It was Fantastic! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The service is very attentive. The food is beyond… besides the amazingly-prepared Beef Wellington, we LOVE the caramel date cake! Plus, we received a visit from Chef Richard Blais. Such a fun evening. We would definitely come back another Beef Wellington or Prime Rib event anytime!

We have attended many holiday buffets at Park Hyatt Aviara. We were happy that we were permitted to sit outside in a pretty, quiet patio area. The buffet room felt cavernous to us and not a warm, welcoming space. The food choices were very good, although we wished the hot dishes were hotter! There was a diverse selection of desserts which looked very elegant but did not taste great: many tasted the same. We missed the more traditional Xmas cookies, gingerbreads and homemade pies! Still a nice opportunity to dress up and celebrate, thanks for having us!

The setup was great- not all tables filled at different times allowed for a more relaxed environment. There was no rush to have us depart after finishing our meal. Food was terrific, and service was very friendly and attentive. The $260 per plate makes this a one time event but worth it on that basis.

We stumbled upon this charming spot, a few years back and have made it a point to return at least once a year, if not more. We really enjoy this delightful place!
