Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Downtown

I went with my sister in law and niece. We lived the decor. I spent about fifteen minutes just wandering and enjoying the extraordinary collection of items, trinkets, artwork, whimsical pieces. The server was outstanding. They were knowledgeable and friendly, willing to answer questions and provide stories and insights. It was so fun to have our own teapots and cups. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed our savory strawberry soup. The scones with clotted cream, heavenly. We had to save our desserts, which was a treat for later. Such a get away for good company and conversation. I can’t wait to go again.

Absolutely best luxury dining experience in the State! Amazing food, spectacular service, stupendous venue and exciting atmosphere! This establishment deserves a multiple Michelin star rating! Hats off to Chef Pedro! What an incredible menu and the desserts (of which I sampled all) are amazing!!!! Those having the opportunity to dine at the Bellpine restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton, Portland hotel on the 20th floor (awesome views as well!) are in for a treat!

We loved our meal so much, we made reservations for the next day! Our server was exceptional, and the food was delicious. The worst part about this experience was in writing this review! Not only did they want my cell number AND then a verification, but then they wanted our email, and ANOTHER verification! It’s not like this is a bank account for goodness sake! We just wanted to give credit to our server!

Another enjoyable meal at the Heathman Tavern. We have been several times now, and it has been consistently good. I had the steak frites and my friend had the salmon and arugula and both were delicious. Our server was delightful and the drinks were good. I still miss the old Heathman Restaurant, but the Tavern is a worthy, less expensive, and more casual successor.
