Located in the heart of the old railroad and mining town of Minturn, the Saloon’s building dates back to 1901. During the last one hundred years it has been, at one time or another, home to various taverns, restaurants and even back room gambling for railroaders. While the last five decades have seen the development of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts just seven miles on either side of Minturn, the town’s appearance and feel retains its historic Colorado roots. Recently under new ownership, The Saloon has undergone a complete renovation and reopened in November of '23 with a fresh new menu and updated space. Chef Anthony Mazza's menu features slow-cooked short rib and pork cheek and Colorado River Ranch wagyu steak. The nostalgia and historical memorabilia and photos remain. The space still feels like The Saloon, but carried into the present day. Enjoy a resurrected Colorado Saloon and feel the history all around you.

Excellent Valentine's dinner with friends. The Tuna and Crab tower was our starter with cocktails. Super wine list. Dinner choices were scallopini, chicken, salmon, and elk. All were fabulous. Incredible wait staff. Vita was great. Not to be missed dinner destination while in the valley.

Ti Amo has been a presence in the Vail Valley dining scene for about 30 years and deserves its longevity. It has been a favorite dining spot for our family for all of that time. We have been making visits to the area to ski for over 50 years. The Italian menu is remarkably robust and contains many excellent choices, so many that there should be something for everyone to enjoy in any dining party. Portions are generous. Nobody will go home hungry! My personal favorites are the Bruschetta al Prosciutto, the Messicani di Vitello, and the chocolate Tartuffo or the Profiteroles for dessert, but I emphasize again that the menu choices are many and we have never had a bad experience here. The atmosphere is charming and cozy. Service is superb. They added clear partitions between the tables, probably in response to the pandemic. They preserve visibility, are designed to fit in with the decor, and have the added advantage of some noise reduction. Ti Amo opened a sister restaurant in Eagle, about 24 miles from Vail. Similar menu. It is in a separate building adjacent to I-70 and a shopping center. Ti Amo will alway be a family tradition for us. It remains very popular with both locals and visitors so reserve well in advance, especially during the ski season. Highest recommendation. Well worth the short drive from Vail or Beaver Creek.
