Doylestown keeps getting better and better! Over the last 5 to 10 years the food and wine scene has continued to improve. In my view, frost continues that improvement. It brings the sophistication of a largest city experience to beautiful Doylestown. My friend and I enjoyed the ambience of the bar and dining area, although there were relatively a few people there this Thanksgiving week. I have it on good authority, though, then on the weekends, it is packed! We started with martinis that were well balanced in terms of unique flavors and a few surprises. My martini in particular came with a side of champagne! For our appetizer we ordered, the caviar tasting. It is listed on the menu as serving 2 to 4 people so we went for it. It was delicious and nicely served. However, I think the serving size was a little too much for two people. my suggestion to Frost is to offer two sizes, one for two people and one for four people. For main courses, I ordered filet mignon that was delicious, tender and melted like butter in my mouth. I ordered it medium and was delighted that came out as ordered since all too often, other restaurants I’ve experienced get the temp wrong. The steak came with peppercorn sauce and an array of vegetables and roasted garlic that was delicious. My friend ordered a dish with scallops, shrimp, and octopus and noted the sauce alongside was a lot like a chimichurri - though it was listed as a red pepper sambal on the menu. She loved it! Will definitely return to try out many of the tapas style dishes, and some of the other unique martinis on the menu. A note on cost and value. I’ve seen reviews stating that Frost is “pricey” and “expensive” - and in the context of surrounding restaurants, i think that is correct. However, I rated it as 4 stars out of 5 for value, since it’s an experience that can’t be had any where nearby that I’m aware of. And dining in larger cities, the pricing seemed similar. Bottom line: A unique experience worth going to!

Very quaint. Still some fall flowers outside although would be prettier in spring or fall with leaves on the trees. Lovely view of the canal on one side and the river on the other. A nice wood burning fireplace. The smoked country pain was delicious.

11.21.24 Our server was the best part of our visit to Founding Farmers! Her name was Casey D. and she just made us feel so great for being there, at the right time! There were so many people and we thought it might not be the right time but she said please don’t worry. All these people have been served, or their order has already been taken, so we are ready for you! They served us great food and really quickly and we were able to see our movie on time, and we were so grateful! We really just wanted a super green healthy large salad to split and that was the $18.50 all good green salad! Has so much in it! And then my friend wanted to have half margarita pizza and half plain tomato pie and— that’s exactly what the kitchen did! It was perfect, because we had the best of both worlds! That pizza was only 17.99 and it was a thick Sicilian style! But also crispy corners! My friend absolutely loved it! Then we had a great memory of the pan fried potato pierogies, —but it now comes with a spicy dipping sauce, that’s a little bit sweet, and very hot—but I think next time we would get it, not pan fried, but just steamed, with some butter, salt, or sour cream. We forgot to ask… but the pierogies are just 4 for $9.99… never realized that they are $2.50, per each! We got the potato ones… Such a good food memory! This pre-movie snack was just perfect, and it did not break the bank! Also, on the way out as we thanked them, we found the most delicious box of caramel cookie chocolate! Next time we should try the chocolate mints… Looking forward to coming here again! I also remember the purple and black kale salad being really good and we were thinking about it But we were full with all the food that we ate… It was perfect timing for the movie ! Thank you so much, Founding Farmers! Also, we love, Casey D.!!!
