From the moment of entry, we were greeted kindly and promptly seated, as we had a reservation. The waitress was very attentive and the assistants to remove the plates as soon as we completed a dish were quick to act. Each dish was very fresh and flavorful: from the garden salad with a Miso dressing to the lamp chops. I had a tropical martini and my husband had a Moscow mule to start the evening and sparkling water. We ordered from the Chicago Restaurant Week menu, but added additional items: garlic bread and mushrooms. I started with the garden salad with Miso dressing and my husband had clam chowder (so creamy). Next were the oysters grilled combo and added garlic bread. I do wish the server let us know which ousters were which, but they were all absolutely delicious. Following, lobster tail with garlicky broccolini and my husband had the convo with luster trail and lamb chops. The lobster tail was so buttery and then the added drawn butter magnified the taste. The lamb chops were cooked beautifully and seasoned well( I forgot to take a picture). We finished with the key lime pie which was decent. Overall, a great experience and will return in the future.

I really enjoyed dining at girl & the goat. Their menu selections were spectacular, and they were able to accommodate those with dairy intolerance (which most restaurants are unable to do). Their food selections were great and flavorful, and their staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend the chicken or steak dishes.

Lex our server was fabulous from start to finish! He explained the starters and entrees beautifully. We got the braised short ribs which were flavorful and tender just as described. It was our first time, from the host warmly greeting us while they gave the kids a stuffie each. The girls ordered from the kids menu which gave them a beautiful mug to take home! The fairy that went our granting wishes was truly magical! And to top it all off they took complimentary family photo to remember the outing. Definitely will be back and start a new family Christmas tradition! Thank you again Lex and staff for making it a very special and memorable evening!
