A Family Tradition For Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy.     What an amazing experience from the time we arrived and were greeted by the Reception staff to Chef Bruno in the lobby greeting guests as they come in, this was by far the best experience we have had at any restaurant! We arrived early and were welcome to take photos of the beautiful restaurant and grab a drink at the upstairs bar. My husband had a California Cab and I had a berry Mojito, a special on the menu. The mojito was the best I have ever had! What a great start! We were seated at a quaint table for two and provided water and rolls immediately. We ordered the Volcano Roll for appetizers and it arrived very shortly after. The roll was 6 pieces and I wish there were more because it was so delicious! We ordered our entrees next, I ordered the Blackened Ahi and my husband had the Petite Filet. Both arrived quickly and were presented well. The Blackened Ahi was absolutely fantastic and my husband’s filet was melt-in-your-mouth good! We had the privilege of speaking with Chef Bruno one more time. Brian was so delightful to talk to and engaged in conversation with us. We never felt rushed, and after we ordered the soufflé (definitely order this early in your meal), we were told it would take 20 mins to make. It seemed like it was just minutes and it was at our table. This was the absolute best dessert we have ever had! Our meal was amazing, the staff was amazing, and the restaurant was decorated in the holiday spirit. Such an awesome experience! I’m so glad we came and would come back again in a heartbeat!

    We really enjoyed our experience at Benihana! We had two birthday celebrants and a first timer in our party, and everyone felt very special and celebrated. Joseph was an excellent chef and the food was fabulous!!

    Best burger I’ve tried! I’ve been wanting to try this place for the longest and didn’t disappoint, the service was great, the girl was very attentive, our food came to us fast, The drinks are really good! 11/10 would definitely recommend 🤟
