Ambience, table by the window with the tide rolling in, the delicious food, well mixed drinks, and responsive and experienced server Candy, made the night an extra special treat. - PPhilipSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWhat a great time. Yeah. The day before Valentine’s Day—that’s when the real ones, the ones who aren’t amateurs, take their honeys out. And yep, the food. Seriously, the cioppino. The Swiss is known for its lobster bisque, but this was on another level. The shrimp popped in your mouth, the salmon was so good my girl had to take some home just because we were stuffed. And the next day? After a long day fighting traffic, that salmon was still incredible. The waiter? Amazing. Don’t remember his name, but man, he was memorable—one of the best we’ve had. Super personable, we clicked right away. And the mussels in the cioppino? The sea bass? Wow. Only thing missing? Music. I know it was a Wednesday, but come on—North County has enough ambitious musicians who would play for free. Just someone with a guitar, Monday to Sunday. That’s all.More infoBellamy's RestaurantPrice: Moderate• American• Escondido•4.4
- JJohnLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe came to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our waiter, Ricky, was attentive and informative, and let us dine at our own pace. We ordered the Brie "starter", two non-alcoholic drinks, the Atlantic Salmon, and the Short Ribs, with carrot cake for dessert [on the house for our anniversary] . Definitely get the all of the above. The presentation was great, the main courses were hot, and cooked just just right. And they have the best popovers. We have dined there several times before, and will be going back again, and will ask for Ricky to be our waiter. Maybe next time for Date-Night Tuesday!More infoVintana Wine & DinePrice: Expensive• American• Escondido•4.5
