Best Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in Chevy Chase

My partner enjoyed her ricotta-lemon curd pancakes and I very much liked my corn/crab soup and crab cake sliders. Yes, I was in a crabby mood. The flourless chocolate cake on a plate festooned with a "Happy Birthday" and decorations for my wife (I'd noted her birthday when I made the reservation) was a thoughtful (free!) end to a terrific meal. The environment when we went--a late Saturday brunch--was VERY noisy. Glad I wore my hearing aids!

Food is amazing, great experience, Hostess, servers, staff in general are very professional. Good impression they were busy and they all know how to handle it. Well managed by Carmen and Ulises We love medium rare 🤪

We met friends from out of town at True Food, as they were staying at a nearby hotel. We thought we were booking a brunch reservation. Somehow, the reality that brunch is only served on weekends wasn't clear when I made the reservation, so I was a bit disappointed that brunch foods weren't available on a Friday. The food we ordered was tasty, however, & the service was friendly & efficient. The squash pizza was especially good & perfect for splitting. One of the diners was not enthusiastic about his burger (He said it was rather dry...), but we all appreciated being able to sit, eat slowly, & chat eagerly without being rushed by the server.

Excellent meal! We will definitely return. Expected a more active restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to find a small neighborhood spot that welcomed us. Well done!

Best Ethiopian food I've found in a long time. Better than places in Silver Spring.
