2022 James Beard Award Winner for Best Chef Northwest & Pacific.Rooted in the local farm-to-table movement — a place where seasonality and culinary tradition are celebrated in tandem. One part Hawaii and one part Brooklyn. The atmosphere shares a brasserie feel with a laid-back island sensibility—a celebration and homage to all of our favorite things we enjoy eating and drinking. Crafted with brick & reclaimed wood, our urban Hawaiian farmhouse features an open kitchen, lush plant wall, brick walls, and lots of natural light in a historic Chinatown building. We had a beautiful dinner at Fete. Our server offered dinks and water right away, in formed us of the specials and made us feel right at home. I originally had a reservation for an outside table but was offered an inside table even though the restaurant was fully booked. We were seated at a sweet little table with room for 3 which allowed plenty of space for us to share plates. We had drinks, the special and dessert and coffee. The bill was reasonable, the quality was fantastic as usual and service was excellent.

This is a fabulous place to come for great food and dine with friends and family. Today, we celebrated our company holiday luncheon. Most of the guests had never dined here, and was super happy with the atmosphere, lunch selections and of course, the amazing servers and staff. Mahalo Merriman’s for making our luncheon special.

The Hideout offers a cool dining experience with a relaxed and inviting ambiance that perfectly captures the Hawaiian vibe. The atmosphere was definitely a highlight and made for a great start to the day. The food was decent—nothing extraordinary but still enjoyable. The flavors were good, and the dishes were well-prepared, though not particularly memorable. Overall, The Hideout is a nice spot for breakfast with good vibes, making it worth a visit if you’re looking for a chill dining experience in Hawaii.
