Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Calumet City

Overall really excellent. Only hiccup, my fiancée ordered an old fashioned twice, the second time around I don’t think they gave him an old fashioned, maybe just a simple scotch or bourbon. He only drinks old fashions and whatever they gave him the second time around was not it. This was after our entree and we didn’t want to be bothersome so we left without saying anything, that’s probably also our fault on our end.

I wish I had gotten the name of our waitress. She made our experience wonderful and we come every year to the Walnut Room since my children were little and they are now 20 and 17. Our waitress took one of the best pictures of our family at the tree, came to our table often refilling our drinks and asking if we needed anything more. She was just so happy and joyful it really added to our experience at the table. She even brought us Walnut Room glasses at the end. We always have a good time at the Walnut Room but our experience this time was exceptional! I thanked her at the end as well, but please treat this waitress well and keep her because she is a shining star for sure!!

My wife and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary at Girl and the Goat in Chicago, and it was truly a magical experience. This was my third time dining here, and it was by far the best experience yet. The food was absolutely incredible—hands down the best string beans and brussel sprouts I’ve ever had. The drinks were fantastic, and the attention to detail from the staff was spot-on. I also really appreciated the relaxed yet attentive atmosphere, making the evening feel special but comfortable. It was my wife's first time at Girl and the Goat, and she was equally impressed. Thank you to the entire team for making our anniversary so memorable. We'll definitely be back!
