The Izakaya is located on the subterranean level of Momotaro. The Izakaya and its shared-plates pub-inspired menu echoes the Yokocho street scene of Tokyo. Narrow lounge-inspired ‘alleys’ around a central bar bedecked with hand-painted Japanese menus, moody neon lights, and vintage Tokyo street signs set the scene for the Izakaya’s direct nod to Tokyo’s most famous post-war black markets. Dark, energetic, and ripe with expectation, the Izakaya additionally offers a 30-seat bar featuring crafted cocktails, sakes, and a quality selection of Japanese whiskeys. Parties and programming are no strangers to the Izakaya, where a rotating selection of events, including Monday Night Karaoke, feel right at home in this lively lower-level atmosphere.

Food and drinks were outstanding and the service was enjoyable. The tables are a little tight and the music was far too loud when we went (Friday at 8pm). Looking forward to visiting again and trying more of the menu.

I rarely feel compelled to write reviews, but the service at il Carciofo was AMAZING, and their dedication and joy deserves to be sung. Our server was the most attentive and sweet individual who made our children (9 and 11 y.o.) feel so included and fancy (in a fun way), taking the time to explain various items on the menu and guide them through the menu. And the kitchen staff - who work in an open venue - were fast, having fun, talking to patrons, and just brought such happiness to us. I expected the restaurant to have delicious food (and it did); but the service was truly memorable.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at Gibsons thanks to Eli and the managers! We started with the caesar salad…it is one of the best i’ve ever had. We then got a filet and NY strip with the bernaise sauce (THE best) and the meat was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. We finished dinner with the banana and chocolate cake dessert. Everything was absolutely perfect. Eli made our experience unforgettable. He was so nice, helpful, and attentive. We will definitely be back soon!
