Best Historic Restaurants in Watchung

On our recent trip to Washington House, my fiance and I were amazed by the service. They honestly blew us away. Everything came out so quickly, the servers were attentive and kind. Our food and drinks were all excellent. This was one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. I look forward to our next dinner there soon!

Amazing. We have not been to the Sumitt Hotel in decades and found our new treasure. Food and service was amazing. The best part was the decor and sound level. The bar was huge and very active. Live music added to the experience. Ideal for romance. Can’t wait until next time

I can't believe thst people can go to such an elegant restaurant and carry on a conversation as loud as a Rolling Stones Concert. The inconsiderateness of these induviduals is disturbing and I can appreciate there is little that management can do about it. But maybe people will read this and think what an absolute idiot they were for acting like a bunch of 4 year olds in public. The restaurant, food staff, etc. are all the absolute best in this entire area.

Everything was pitch perfect, starting with my wife’s pre-dinner Bloody Mary and ending with the Warm Pecan Pie we shared for dessert. It was our first visit. We shall certainly be back. A simply terrific-looking place where the service and the food were both as excellent as the ambience.
