- MMarieVIPGreater Boston •80 reviews4.0Dined todayVery nice meal, but not quite exceptional. Food was generally very good; ambiance is lovely. Service is a little spotty. Cocktails took too long; appetizers were served too soon (at the same time as the cocktails!); we had to pour our own wine because our glasses were empty; one entree was perfectly timed but the other was lukewarm when it arrived. I would definitely go back, and it is a lovely spot for a special occasion -- but it wasn't over the top perfect (but I have very high standards!).More infoSelby'sPrice: Moderate• American• Menlo Park•4.6

- AAnthonySan Francisco Bay Area •10 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe were there for the Christmas buffet. The food was marvelous and plentiful: prime rib, salmon, pork loin, ribs, bbq chicken, assorted salads and sides, and desserts. The service was fine and the price was great. We'd like to go for a regular dining experience in addition to the holiday buffets as we also went to the Thanksgiving buffet.More infoMacArthur Park - Palo AltoPrice: Moderate• American• Palo Alto•4.1
- LLisaVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •60 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 23, 2024Lunch after a matinee is one of our Holiday traditions- this year it was just perfect. The restaurant was packed with diners waiting for tables lined up at the bar, so thank goodness we had a reservation (on a Monday at 3:00PM- who knew?). Once past that minor inconvenience, everything was absolutely wonderful. We shared the Tortelloni appetizer and even though I am an accomplished Italian home cook, it was the best we have ever had. Then we shared the Jack LaLane salad - partly because we grew up with him on TV and the nostalgia was undeniable- and it was perfect. It had a respectable amount of seafood and avocado and was very large. My husband said his Manhatten was excellent. We left vowing to come back soon and often.More infoHistoric John's GrillPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Union Square•4.7
