Leo’s was first opened in 1948 by Italian immigrants Pantaleone (Leo) Mancieri and his wife Virginia (Nonni). Established mainly as a pizzeria in the State Street section of Bristol, the restaurant quickly gained a local following and served as a popular lunch destination for workers and families alike. White Horse Tavern provides consistently good food and service in a unique atmosphere. Two of us enjoyed the swordfish, but the scallop entree was even tastier. The colonial atmosphere adds to the charm and service is excellent.

We had a lovely Christmas Eve lunch. Our server was great, the food was delicious, and the ambience was on point. We enjoyed seeing the staff in the spirit despite working. They seemed to genuinely appreciate their team.

Everything was spectacular, from the crab cakes to the center cut filet (I recommend the bourbon cream as the sauce). Service was great. We went two days before Christmas so it was not very crowded. Great place for a special occasion.
