A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. I was so excited to have a chance to dine at Emilys while I was in NY. I got the burger because Dax Shepard talks about it so often on the Armchair Expert podcast and it did not disappoint!! It was so delicious and the waffle fries were also crispy and seasoned perfectly! I’m already looking forward to my next visit so I can have it again.

We were so pleasantly surprised by this place! Just wanted to grab a quick bite at such a historical place. Such a lovely experience with excellent food and very helpful and friendly staff. Between the four of us we tried several different menu items and everything we tried was above expectations!

The food at BAZI is outstanding. We make a point of having dinner at BAZI every time we come to NY from Boston. Every dish is delicious so it is difficult to chose. This trip we had the lamb ka akulfBarraeh, Paratwala kofta, Darib ka kulfa, rice and raita. Everything was Terrific. We ate on the early side-around 6:30- and the noise level was civilized with conversation easy.
