Best Historic Restaurants in Highlands - Bardstown Rd / Taylorsville Rd

We had a wonderful experience at Bourbon’s last night, one of our go to places for a great meal. Everything from the cocktails, to the apps, dinner and desert were all excellent! Our server was also fantastic, just wish I could remember her name! Highly recommend this gem of a place that I hope will be around for many years to come!

My food was absolutely terrific. I was dining with my spouse and my mother-in-law. I had the filet (it was cooked exactly how I wanted), scallops, asparagus, and butter infused risotto. They gave a rose to my mother-in-law, and it made her night. Honest to God, it was the best food I've eaten this year. I loved it. Thank you for making our Valentines a great experience. We'll be back for sure.

This was my first time at The Last Refuge, and I had a great experience. Staff were amazing and attentive even though it was a busy night. It would be nice to see a couple more items on the menu, maybe more pasta items, as the one looked good. The appetizer, salad, and pizza was really good. I would love to come back when the weather is warmer as it looked like there was a nice patio. Overall, it was a very nice night and will come back.

Brown hotel is a beautiful setting for a date night. Valentine’s Day was very special and memorable to spend with the restaurant staff. Grace who we were lucky enough to have for the second time took such wonderful care of us. Food and specialty cocktails were excellent.

Run dont walk for Wednesday wine specials! So many options you would except to find at a great steakhouse. Mix it with a delicious slice of pizza and you have the making of the perfect girls night out! Will be back often!
