- JJosephVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •190 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThis is one of our favorite San Francisco restaurants. We have been enjoying the food and hospitality at Scoma's since childhood (1968 when it opened). The seafood is always fresh and well prepared with interesting side dishes. All types of seating available indoors and out, and they have a very lively bar scene. Great wine selection. And delicious desserts to finish off your visit.More infoScoma's Fisherman's WharfPrice: Expensive• Seafood• North Beach•4.7

I strongly recommend the Pineapple Punch (n/a), Joe's House Made Ravioli, and the Butter Cake. This was the best meal of the trip!More infoOriginal Joe's - San FranciscoPrice: Moderate• Italian• North Beach•4.7

The wine selection was great as well. We made reservations for Christmas Eve and we’re very happy we chose this place.More infoFior D'ItaliaPrice: Expensive• Italian• North Beach•4.6
- LLisaVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •60 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoLunch after a matinee is one of our Holiday traditions- this year it was just perfect. The restaurant was packed with diners waiting for tables lined up at the bar, so thank goodness we had a reservation (on a Monday at 3:00PM- who knew?). Once past that minor inconvenience, everything was absolutely wonderful. We shared the Tortelloni appetizer and even though I am an accomplished Italian home cook, it was the best we have ever had. Then we shared the Jack LaLane salad - partly because we grew up with him on TV and the nostalgia was undeniable- and it was perfect. It had a respectable amount of seafood and avocado and was very large. My husband said his Manhatten was excellent. We left vowing to come back soon and often.More infoHistoric John's GrillPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Union Square•4.7
