We particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon, the BBQ broccoli, and the crab on crumpet. The venue and staff made for a lovely evening in Edinburgh.More infoAngels with BagpipesPrice: Expensive• Scottish• Old Town•4.6
- SSusanEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThe Cafe Royal is one of Edinburgh’s classic Cafe/Pub/Restaurant which has maintained its stunning Victorian exterior and interior with a beautiful oval bar in other centre of the Café Pub area and stained glass windows in the Oyster Bar restaurant . We had a graduation dinner in the Oyster bar and all our food was excellent and something for everyone , especially those who are fond of shellfish .The steaks were cooked to perfection and the vegetable Thai green curry delicious . The service and atmosphere were also superb . The only problem was the temperature : it was a cold evening and most of us had to keep our coats on for the duration of the meal . However , this will not deter me from going again as the Café Royal is iconic and my family have celebrated many occasions here for generations .More infoCafe Royal - EdinburghPrice: Expensive• Continental• Edinburgh•4.3

We had Cullen skink and scallops for starter, both excellent but the Cullen skink in particular was exceptional Mussels and sea bass for main course again both dishes were amazing. - GGeorgeLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoGreat food and service. Nice place. Only issue was not being able to taste a house wine (which they sold by the glass) before buying a bottle. Small issue. Didn’t detract from an excellent experienceMore infoAbbotsford RestaurantPrice: Moderate• British• Old Town•4.5
