My husband’s steak free was excellent and he enjoyed his wedge salad. I really like the clam chowder, but the turkey sandwich was a bit dry and the way they cut it looked almost manufactured. I added stuffing to the sandwich for an additional two dollars and it was cut almost too perfect in a square flat shape like it was pre-bought that way. The pecan pie and the warm caramel cake. This is the first time we were seated on the "porch" and we were initially concerned about whether it would be cold. But they had a lovely heated blower running which kept the temp quite comfortable. Service was excellent. They weren't busy so we were allowed to keep our table well beyond the 1 hour 15 mins they say is allowed for a party of two. The poached egg on the Pond House Benedict was cooked PERFECTLY which has proven to be very difficult for other restaurants! Sometimes “casino food”, even at a nicer restaurant, can be lacking but our food and service was amazing! Started with the caeser salad and whipped ricotta, both great and good portions. Then had a filet and penne alla vodka, both also great and full of flavor. Tucked away in a cozy booth we were able to enjoy a lovely New England wintery scene with the beautiful brook below. The Christmas prix fixe was delight after delight and the cherry on top of our evening was the attention and care brought by our server Ron.
