Best Healthy Restaurants in Barre

Our server was just perfect! She was the right combination of attentiveness, and providing time for us go linger and catch up! Brunch was great! The skillet breakfast and the tavern breakfast were delicious!

Best service. Music was a little loud but it was Saturday night. Portions are enormous and good for sharing. Would recommend the shaved Caesar, hot tots and Mexican street corn flatbread!

Each part of the meal came out perfect and on time. We got the Fra Diavlo mussels for an appetizer. It was a huge plate full of delicious and perfectly cooked mussels with plenty of sauce. We each ordered an entree. The food was excellent and very rich. There were plenty of leftovers so I would say the portions were large. The waiter was very attentive to all our needs. The atmosphere was quiet. There was a little difficulty finding parking as the lot next door has changed the way to park there.

Sycamore creates consistently excellent food and drinks. Last night's boudin blanc is a treasure -- only prepared in December, and it runs out in early January -- is it a delicate, flavorful white sausage that is like eating soft clouds of umami. So good! Also, the lamb two ways was exceptional -- small rack plus lamb confit wrapped in dark leaves, served on a flavorful couscous. They also happily prepared a vegetarian version of their gemelli carbonara, with chunks of squash and forest mushrooms. Bartender Scott remains a standout -- makes great drinks and is funny and whimsical. Owner Dave was gracious, as always. We have been to Sycamore time and time again, and they never disappoint.

We love sitting at the bar. Service is always great. The sushi is great and the presentation is very professional.
