- SSangeetaVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •13 reviews4.0Dined todayYou have to book in advance for a larger group of 6 or 8 people and the only time slot we got was 5p that is three weeks prior to the reservation on a Thursday night. It’s a beautiful welcoming space inside with a nice and lively bar. The food is for sharing and a La carte style: we did 3-4 appetizers and 3-4 main courses for 6 people and it was plenty as they give you a welcome appetizer of steak tartare in mini cones, a delicious tamarind lemony palette cleanser before your mains and a chocolate mousse canapé per person all on the house . For appetizers we ordered - The Everything carrots, grilled octopus, Ep trio pita, tagline prawns and for the mains - their half chicken which was delicious,, Daurade En Papillote- their whole fish- and lamb chops were all great and flavorful: we also ordered the sides of Brussels and cauliflower.. Overall a good dining experience except we felt a little rushed as they kept removing plates quickly to bring out the next dish. Ii think if they spaced out the food a bit and let you sit back and enjoy your meal with friends it would be a nicer experience. I will definitely come back if I’m in downtown San Jose.More infoEos & NyxPrice: Expensive• Californian• San Jose•4.6

- CCindyVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe very much enjoyed our dining experience at Restaurant Gish and the special holiday menu from beginning to end! Each dish was creative, delicious, and well presented. We sat at the counter and really enjoyed watching the chefs create and plate each dish, and describe them to us. Some dishes such as the consommé and salad ssam were delicate with wonderful finesse. The scallop curdo was inventive and well put together, so yummy. The beef tartare with truffle and Asian touches was outstanding and a unique combination. The larger or heavier dishes such as the entrees (lamb, lobster tail) were substantive and satisfying. The meal ended on a beautiful note with the pear sorbet with added house made pine honey crunch. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant felt lively yet cozy and welcoming. We recommend!More infoRestaurant GishPrice: Very Expensive• Korean• Santa Clara•4.9

I am more of a tequila drinker and there weren’t many options but everyone else enjoyed the rum drinks.More infoDr. FunkPrice: Expensive• Cocktail Bar• San Jose•4.1
- NNoraVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024Outstanding experience overall. Great service with lots of smiles. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Very friendly staff as well. The restaurant was packed out the entire visit, but there was no lack of attention. I love that they bring your steak à la carte but then mix and serve the side dishes for you. Upstairs they bring you the cocktails and leave the shaker. It’s a great value because you end up getting twice as much drink for the price! We had the margarita and Grey Goose martini. Wines by the glass are reasonably priced and it’s a generous pour, too. Extensive wines by the bottom menu. I love that it’s easy to get in and out of this establishment, with valet right in front or room for Lyft. It is now our favorite steak place!More infoMastro’s Steakhouse - Santa ClaraPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Santa Clara•4.6
