Best Fun Restaurants in Jekyll Island

We went here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my youngest daughter's thirteenth birthday as she is an aspiring pastry chef. The service was outstanding, Dylan was our server and he was very attentive. I saw prior reviews that weren't as favorable, but this is Disney and you are paying for service, ambiance and our brunch was fabulous. We are a family of 6 (2, adults, and 4 teens 13-18) and we bought an entire cake to go so I believe without the cake it was probably about $50/person, we had 3 appetizers (French baguette, warm butter croissant and the French toast bites), all specialty beverages and 6 entrees. 3 of my kids had waffle entrees, 1 had pancakes, my husband had the croque monsieur and I had the ham, rosemary and goat cheese quiche. Everything was fantastic and served in exquisite form. Dylan also graciously took pictures of us at the table and by the carousel in the center of the main dining room. In my mind, the visit was well worth a special occasion/vacation. The quiche was certainly the best I have ever had and paired well with the arugula salad. The rose cappuccino was definitely a unique treat and the cinnamon donut holes served with the matcha latte were divine.

We had a nice dinner at Georgia Sea Grill to celebrate our anniversary. While staying at Sea Island, we were looking for a locally owned restaurant, specializing in sea food. We found the right place. Service was excellent and prices were reasonable. My husband had one issue with his cocktail, but they gladly remade it. We both had the fresh fish, which is offered in 3 different preparation methods, with different sides. Because we were celebrating, we also had desserts. Both were yummy. Previous reviewers recommended reservations. We had to change our original reservations because of our golf tee time & were lucky to get one, on a Thursday, before 8 pm.

Wonderful waitress and delicious food. The only disappointment was the Cesar Salad which was bland. I had the loin of pork and my wife had the local red fish, both were delicious.

Wonderful dining experience. We met the Manager, Scott who was the nicest, friendliest person who went above and beyond to make our dinner so very special. You see....we lost our precious daughter, Jenna 20 months ago. It was sudden and traumatic. The Boathouse and the Fillet Mignon sliders were here favorite. Her last birthday Orlando celebration in February 2023 was so special. We lost her suddenly in June 2023. We live on Long Island, we visit 3 to 4 times per year and T.J. has always taken care of us. During a low-season dinner, we were one of 3 tables occupied. Service was friendly and (understandably) quick, and the food was excellent! The smoked fish spread was terrific as an app, and the seafood entrees (Georgia shrimp and Fish and Chips) were very good too!
