I’m personally not a sushi person, but I was able to find plenty of things that were delicious! Our server was incredibly personable and we were very well taken care of. I had the Kansas City strip; it was juicy and very flavorful; one of the best steaks I've ever had. My wife had the crab cakes and loved them. Only one downside in the whole meal; the crab bisque soup was just too salty! I should have sent it back. The desserts were very tasty and presented so nicely. I had the chocolate fudge cake; it was soooo good! Service was impecable! We will definitely be back to J Gilbert's.More infoJ. - DDeeDallas - Fort Worth •9 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoMy ultimate test for a restaurant is if it randomly pops in my head weeks later as I relish the memory of the meal & experience. Wandering Vine at The Castle meets that test. I am still thinking about the savory bone-in pork chop with demi-glace sauce, the decadent chestnut mushrooms, and the perfectly intense cocoa of the layered chocolate cake. I'm not going to lie, a part of me anticipates huge disappointment for every sad attempt of pork chops or chocolate cake from any other restaurant here after until I can return. Congratulations to the chef, owner and staff for creating and sharing a truly remarkable dining experience at The Castle!More infoWandering Vine at The CastlePrice: Expensive• American• Shawnee•4.8
