- DdonaldChicago / Illinois •4 reviews5.0Dined todayFirst time for my sons(15 and 9)! They enjoyed immensely! My wife, our friend and myself had a great time. It’s a tradition to meet up the top of the year and have brunch. I had the pot roast and it was NOT HOT! We had fried at the table a could have times and they were cold too. My 9 year old didn’t care for the pot pie because he thought it was crust on the top and bottom. It was only crust on top. They did replace with chicken tenders for him. Wife and son had burgers. They say they were pretty good. Missing lettuce and tomatoes. Our friend had a chicken Caesar and the chicken was very dry and old looking. He ate it but didn’t enjoy. Our service was great (Stephanie) but was really busy. It was a busy day. But she did her best and was very nice.More infoThe Walnut Room - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Loop•4.6
- KKathleenSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI gave the food 4 stars, but that applies to the Rueben sandwiches. Three stars for my entree, the Schlachteplatte - Sauerkraut, smoked pork chop, chopped Bratwurst, Thuringer & Knockwurst with fingerling potatoes. Sounds like a lot of food, so split it with another person. The dinner plate was small. Piled with sauerkraut, but only 2 slices each of the sausages & the pork chop was the thickness of a slice of ham. Could not be thinner. And for $25, it wasn’t worth it. We also ordered a side of potato pancakes that tasted like hash browns. Our waiter was great! The Christmas decorations were beautiful and the ambiance was very cozy. Maybe other entrees are good, but if I go again, I’ll stick to one of the sandwiches.More infoThe Berghoff RestaurantPrice: Moderate• German• Downtown / Loop•4.6

Was not very crowded for lunch but I suspect very popular for dinnerMore infoBroken English Taco Pub - Lake StreetPrice: Expensive• Mexican• Downtown / Loop•4.6
- RRebeccaVIPChicago / Illinois •7 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 26, 2024My very favorite restaurant in the city! They have consistently high-quality, wonderful dishes and rotate the menu so there’s always something new. They are great to us and our kids with special needs and dietary restrictions and we’re always great when they were babies as well. I’ve been coming for years and always bring out of town guests here. Get the scotch egg, drinks are great, the latest past I got was amazing and if you’re lucky to come for brunch, try the pastries!!! They are out of this world!More infoThe GagePrice: Moderate• American• Downtown / Loop•4.7
- HHyeVIPHouston •9 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024The quality of the meat is outstanding, but the food overall is delicious! Everything we ate was amazing. We had the wagyu set, soybean soup, dumplings, tteokboki, steak tartare, raw oysters, monkey bread, and banana sesame. Homemade kimchi!!! All delicious and the service was phenomenal. Thomas, Kellen, Eric, and Alexis were all attentive and made everything perfect. Will be back every time we visit Chicago from Ohio. Could not have been happier with the experience.More infoPERILLA steakhouse - RiverwalkPrice: Very Expensive• Korean• Downtown / Loop•4.6
