Best Waterfront Restaurants in Palo Alto

My second time dining here. Overall great experience for our Anniversary dinner. The service was great, food was great (highly recommend the baked potato's as a side, atmosphere was gorgeous located right by the water overseeing nice boats and yachts. Props to the floor manager in which I believe his name was Cameron, (apologies if I got that wrong). Very nice gentleman, highly recommend anyone to try out this restaurant. If you're in for drinks, try the "Hurrica Cocktail." We had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day at Mistral - we hadn't been in years and just live down the street. The prix fixe menu was lovely, and there was plenty of choice for us. Food was all well-prepared - I especially enjoyed my lobster risotto, and my husband especially enjoyed his poached pear salad. The service was lovely, too, and we really loved sitting out on the patio by the fireplace and under the heat lamps. Our only comment is that we still find the price to be a bit high. But we still enjoyed ourselves!

I like it quiet and comfortable. It’s a great choice compared to the busy restaurants in the Burlingame and San Mateo area. Parking is complimentary, better than going through the hassle of finding parking spots on busy streets. The lagoon view around the hotel is beautiful. Food is good. Service is warm and attentive.

For a hotel lobby bar/restaurant I was completely surprised by the wonderful food and such reasonable prices. Totally will go again. HUGE PORTIONS
