I noticed my daughters snuck more than an initial half teaspoon taste. It was very, very good. Not watery creamy. This had a nice texture. Try it! The prime rib was exceptional. I had the smaller portion. One daughter had the thinner slices. One daughter had the regular cut. All were sumptuous! Had a baked potato instead of the mashed. It was yummy. We ordered an apple crisp to share between the three of us. It was delicious with a nice amount of apple slices hidden under the topping and surrounded by the usual warm spices. Our server was great! She was friendly, attentive but didn’t hover. Thank you all for a wonderful evening! I may not be back for a while. Palo Alto daughter is moving to Duarte. CA this summer. If she needs help moving, we’ll have to do a farewell visit at House of Prime Rib. Again, thank you!More infoHouse of Prime RibPrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.8
- WWillVIPHawaii •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoI brought my family into SF for a few days of shopping and fun to break up the holidays. We live in Marin and are picky about driving into the city for dinner. Being a native born San Franciscan and resident in SF / Marin my whole life, La Mar proved a great pick. My wife, my two grown daughters and I will definitely return. La Mar - great spot and thanks for a wonderful dinner!More infoLa Mar Cocina Peruana San FranciscoPrice: Expensive• Peruvian• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.7

- TTeresaTahoe / Reno Area •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Scoma's for a small birthday celebration. We were sat promptly upon our arrival for our reservation and attended to soon after with water. We were seated in a booth by the window, where we had a view toward the city. The waitstaff was courteous and obliging. You can tell that they know their job well. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start and they came promptly. The truffle parmesan fries were cooked perfectly, and our martinis were a generous pour. We ordered dinner when ready and it came out in a reasonable amount of time, but we never felt hurried. There is always a choice of fresh fish available, the petrale sole was delicious. Portions are generous, so even though the prices are a bit high, you get a great meal and clean and comfortable surroundings. In our reservation we noted a birthday, so we were brought a large scoop of ice cream with a candle to top off the evening.More infoScoma's Fisherman's WharfPrice: Expensive• Seafood• North Beach•4.7
