- CChristineDevon •1 review4.0Dined 3 days ago3 of us visited mid week for lunch, having read such good reviews, and we weren't disappointed. A great low key vibe without any pretension, small and with excellent staff. The four course tasting menu was absolutely delicious, very different flavours and styles. A highlight was perfectly cooked cod loin with a cauliflower puree and dill oil. The only thing we didn't like do much were the drink flights (we had both alcohol and virgin). Some of the flavours were too challengng for us. When we go back (which we will) we'll probably just get a bottle of wine to enjoy.More infoStagePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary British• Exeter•4.9

- JJasonLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 1, 2025Really enjoyed our new year’s day evening dinner at Bayards Cove inn. Very zen, cosy with excellent and attentive service. We all really enjoyed the food. Starters we enjoyed were arancini, potato croquettes, mackerel pate and thermidor crab. Beautifully presented as well as being delicious. Mains - haddock chowder with sourdough bread which was perfect for my post new year’s eve hungover stomach, steaks and the 13 year old ordered mac and cheese off the kids menu which was ideal. The 13 year old then went on to enjoy vanilla icecream and mango sorbet served delightfully in a frozen ceramic teacup with fresh strawberries, blueberries and an amaretti biscuit on the side. We left full and sleepy, and very satisfied. Final thing - dog friendly. The dog was clearly enjoying the zen vibes too sleeping contentedly under our table for the duration of our meal.More infoBayards Cove InnPrice: Expensive• British• Dartmouth•4.7

From the moment we arrived the visit became special, the staff attention to detail was a delight and the lunch tasting menu was perfect with the accompanying wine flight. The staff were amazing - never there until they were needed but attentive and efficient around every course, then they disappeared again! Wonderful. A perfect enue that has been a delight on every visit!More infoThe Elephant RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Modern European• Torquay•4.9
