We had a wonderful meal here. It was probably the best restaurant meal we’ve had since moving to the area a year ago. The restaurant is in a lovely historic home, cozy yet spacious, right in downtown Lewes, which was so beautifully decorated for the holidays. Our group had limited experiences with Indian food. Our waiter, Jonathan, was outstanding. He helped us navigate the menu and choose dishes according to our tastes and heat level preferences, and gave us friendly and top notch service. We chose wines from India, though there were many other choices available. Appetizers included vegetable samosas, spinach and kale chat (my favorite) and a water chestnut dish which my daughter loved. I chose the Paneer Saag as my entree. It was very delicious, and I plan to have it again on a future visit to Raas. Husband had Butter Chicken. So good, tender chicken and a rich delicious sauce. Daughter chose Goan Salmon, as did 3 of the people at the next table. She loved it. All entrees were beautifully presented, and we enjoyed each dish thoroughly. The dishes had some heat of varying levels, but this was a background to the rich savory sauces and worked perfectly. We wish we hadn’t waited so long to try Raas. Highly recommend.
