Best Vegan Restaurants in Bloor West Village

This restaurant is my new favourite for vegetarian delights! The lasagna reminds me of my Nonna’s with a little added kick of heat! Incredible! Amazing mushroom “calamari” and a very nice drink selection. It was a little loud for my preference but that won’t stop me from coming back. Excellent date vibes and wonderful staff. Our server was friendly, accommodating and made the whole experience for us.

The food here was incredible. Everything melted in your mouth and I think most carnivores wouldn’t miss meat one bit. The service was wonderful, the wine list was great and we couldn’t complain about a thing!

La Bartola has an ambient atmosphere perfect for intimate dates or more lively dinners with colleagues and friends. The staff are attentive and friendly, willing to offer recommendations and explanations of menu items without hesitation. I had their white mole dish, followed by the chocolate cake, and was blown away by how incredible everything tasted. For cocktails, the Oaxacan (pronounced "Wa-ha-kan") Old Fashioned is an unmissable classic, combining the flavours of an Old Fashioned with the unmistakeable smokiness of mescal, which is a Oaxacan specialty. I've been to Bartola twice now and, as a non-vegan, find their menu exciting, intriguing, and, above all, outstanding. I will be back!

You could feel the history of the building, which only added to the whole ghostly charm! The tea selection was fantastic, with a variety of flavors that catered to every taste, from classic Earl Grey to a Peaches and Cream blend. The food was where the experience truly shined – each tier of goodies was as delightful as it was spooky. The sandwiches and desserts were crafted with care, and the flavours were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Special shout-out to the scones, which were a wild ride for my tastebuds! Cheese and pumpkin?! Ube and white chocolate?! How do they come up with this? Every single bite was delicious and they even catered to my gluten free diet! The staff really got into the theme, too, adding a fun and playful element to the experience. They shared stories of the Old Mill's "haunted history," which was a great touch and made everything feel authentic. Overall, it was such a cool event that perfectly captured the spooky season while delivering an elevated, gourmet high tea experience. I’d highly recommend the Haunted High Tea to anyone looking for a unique, memorable way to celebrate Halloween or simply enjoy a fantastic tea service in a unique, historic setting. 👻🍂🫖
