- AAlexVIPNew York City •22 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoAbsolutely loved Makoto. It was our first time since they moved their location up to Level 3 of the Bal Harbour Shops. Super lovely, energetic, and the interior was gorgeous. We started off with the crispy brussels sprouts, which were so delicious that we put in another order. The truffle salmon was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten — it melted in my mouth and they did not skimp on the truffle. The dynamite hand rolls were out of this world, warm and flavorful. The spicy tuna crispy rice had the perfect crunch. Side note: if you like sweet cocktails, get the usagi — the passionfruit notes shined through in this dessert of a drink. The chilled house sake we got was also divine. The rolls were fresh — we ordered the caterpillar roll, the spicy yellowtail roll, rainbow roll, and snow crab maki. My favorites were the snow crab maki and the rainbow roll. We ordered miso seabass and wagyu fried rice for the mains — the miso seabass melted in my mouth, and I loved the mix of citrus and sweet flavors that came through in this dish. When we got to the wagyu fried rice, I was already stuffed, but it was delicious with the egg mixed in. We finished the meal off with the toban yaki, one of the most unique desserts I’ve ever had. It was a cross between a crumble and a sorbet dessert — the flavors were incredible. The service was amazing and we loved our server Helena. 10/10 experience at Makoto and can’t wait to come back!More infoMakoto - Bal HarbourPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Bal Harbour•4.8
- LLynneRaleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill •23 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe were offered a complimentary glass of “bubbles” upon arrival. The Mediterranean Bowl was excellent. A great combination of flavors. Very attentive service. A little too noisy for me, but we were able to converse. I would go back.More infoJOEY AventuraPrice: Expensive• American• North Miami Beach•4.5
- MMiguelMiami - Dade •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoThe place is very intimate which is a relief compared to many restaurants where it gets crowded and loud. The food was absolutely authentic and delicious with great attention to detail. The service was remarkable and the personal attention was refreshing. The price was on the higher side but with everything being done so well it was worth it. Will definitely be returning back.More infoOld Lisbon Restaurants - AventuraPrice: Very Expensive• Portuguese• Aventura•4.8
- AAliceFort Lauderdale •43 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 19, 2024My husband and I and another couple had a very nice dining experience at 7 Spices. We ordered gyros, burgers, tabbouleh and the truffle fries. Everything was delicious and the service was great. We all loved Basten, our server, who explained everything to us about the different food on the menu. We all hope to return in the near future.More info7 Spices Mediterranean Restaurant & CafePrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Hallandale Beach•4.3
- JJuneFort Lauderdale •44 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 22, 2024We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Ocean Grill and Bar, a lovely Latin-Mediterranean restaurant located on Harrison St. in downtown Hollywood, Fl near the circle. The hostess, Yasmin, greets you warmly as you enter, and you are seated immediately. The beautiful ambiance envelopes you, and you are wrapped in stunning color and lights. For starters, I had large shrimp bathed in milk cream and sitting in these delicious pastry cups. My husband had cerviche, which was very fresh and loaded with many kinds of seafood, both shellfish and fish. The citrus flavor enhanced the dish well, as did the various vegetables that were part of the cerviche. Complimentary homemade hummus with pita triangles was the best we've ever had. For our main course, I had the citrus salmon accompanied by mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband had a whole sea bass with a variety of vegetables. Both were outstanding. Yasmin comes to the table and torches your herbs so that they are infused into the fish. Such a nice touch. We shared their homemade coconut creme Brule, which was also torched in front of us to give the dessert a nice crispy topping. A beautiful and talented singer sang in both English and Spanish, entertaining us and adding a festive mood as she danced and interacted with the diners. Ocean Grill and Bar is the place to go if you want magnificent food, superb ambiance, fun entertainment, and a staff who treats you like royalty. Thank you, Yasmin, our beautiful hostess, Roberto, our friendly, sweet waiter, and Osvaldo, the kind and caring manager.More infoOcean Grill & BarPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Hollywood•4.3
