- LLeticiaHouston •12 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe food is excellent. Keep in mind that Thai spice is very hot compared to what I'm used to. The mild spice is very spicy (i love spicy food). I would go for the mild so you can enjoy the food.More infoStreet To KitchenPrice: Expensive• Thai• East End•4.7
- DDonnaVIPHouston •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFirst time visit for our son's birthday, we knew music was starting at 7pm which we were looking forward to but didn't start until closer to 7:30pm. The menu is ok, dessert was a bit limited - no icecream - you guys must miss big time when families bring their kids. Rustic burger no lettuce or tomato, I thought it was a bit odd but my son thought it was perfect 😂More infoThe Rustic Houston Uptown ParkPrice: Moderate• American• Westside•4.4

- TTramVIPHouston •8 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had dinner at Makiin with a couple of friends and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. There was a live band playing in the adjacent room behind the bar, so it was a bit loud. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The waiter was attentive & service was good. Since our reservation was at 6 PM (Happy hour ends at 7 PM, I think?), we were able to order some cocktail drinks from the Happy hour menu at 1/2 price (average price was $9 per drink as opposed to $18). We ordered Hua Hin Mango (highly recommended), Mystiny, Pu Lae pineapple drinks & all were quite good. We also had double-order dishes to share — lemongrass chicken skewers, shrimp crispy cakes which was “so so”, hot basil mussel, ocean salad, papaya salad, drunken noodle, and Thai Street noodle magic. My 2 favorite dishes were the ocean salad & hot basil mussels. We were too stuffed by the end of our dinner and did not order dessert. Though, I have had their mango sticky rice dessert previously & it’s quite good.More infoMaKiinPrice: Very Expensive• Thai• Upper Kirby / Shepherd Corridor•4.6
