Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Mixcoac / Aguilas

Food and ambiance excellent. Dinner was a little more than I anticipated. Restaurant might be a little over staffed, always had somebody hovering. My wife and I ordered Burrata with arugula, the table served Caesar salad and Grilled fish prepared table side by Hugo. The food was spot on. They also have a drummer who does about a 12 minute set at 830 and 930…he really gets the place going. We told the servers to take their time as we were in no hurry, glad we did. They are on things so quickly. Definitely the evening was great.

Maximo is worth a visit. Make your reservations early. It’s a very comfortable environment- warm and friendly. Food was very good. Service great.

Service and atmosphere is nothing short of awesome. Food presentation is awesome. However, my wife ordered a filet mignon, and it was a bit over done. For the price, and location I was disappointed when I asked "how was it"? She said-yours are better. I do have a great source for BBQ steaks, but I am not a professional. It was good, but not of the highest standard. My daughter had a chicken dish, and it was delicious. I ordered a small salad, prepared at the table, and it was delicious. My salmon filet was overcooked, a little. The wines were really good and well paired. I would go back for special occasions.

We were amazed by how fresh, robust, and flavorful the pastas were. The ambiance and customer service were great as well. Highly recommend!

Maricela definitely makes a difference in that place. Kind, warm, attentive and even friendly treatment. Definitivamente Maricela hace la diferencia en ese lugar. Trato amable, cálido, atento y hasta simpático.
