Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Metairie

20 stars! I felt soooo VIP. Everyone was so polite, the service was beyond impeccable, and the food was delicious. We are definitely regulars now!

The very large black woman who greeted us was unprofessionally and inappropriately dressed for the position she held. Then she had to have help finding our reservation that we made 3 days before. Our waitress, Ellen, was pleasant at first, but got an attitude when I asked for bread. Another wait staff stepped in to answer my question, and Ellen bristled at that. Speckled trout is my favorite fish, and I've had it many times and also cooked it myself, but the trout last night was mediocre at best, and the presentation was poor. The meal was very expensive, $245.00.

Normally I get the filet but this time I had the bone-in rib eye. It was like butter, great choice if you feeling “scarffish” (starving) My girlfriend had the salmon and shrimp and it was delicious…I don’t even like salmon and it tasted delicious. The sides, the wine, the service, the food…5 stars for everything.

Whenever we are in town, we always try to make at least one visit to Vessel. We've been there several times, and the food is always spectacular, delicious and consistent. The service is excellent and always top notch. It is truly a beautiful restaurant unlike anything we've ever seen, it's in an old church and the ceiling is amazing. We are already planning our next trip and have Vessel on the top of our list of "must do's".

I really loved it here , I made reservation on the app for 5:30pm and once we arrived we waited about 5-6 minutes to be seated. The attire of all the employees reminds you that YOU are the GUEST and it's all about the experience! Our waitress I hate that I can remember his name - but he was very nice , and patient as we were from out of state and some things on the menu we have not tried and had a few questions about he did not hesitate to explain in detail( that was major because I hate short talk if I ask a question). The price you pay is what you get! Meaning go to Applebees if you want a lower price for lower quality meat, this place served me an outstanding medium rare 11oz. steak and it was great! Nice outside , tender and juicy inside! Perfect seasoning , and still hot once I received it , as was everything we had ( barbecue glazed salmon and a shareable loaded baked potato ). I recommend to try this nice ambient dining experience if you prioritize your experience and moneys worth!
