Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Glen Mills

We’ve been going to Sullivan’s since 1997! It’s our go to bar restaurant! Awesome ambience, service is usually top notch, their signature “Knock Out” Martini is the best around! For a period since 2020 the restaurant went shall I say, down hill… clientele to service but over the past year or so it’s made a tremendous comeback! No it’s not “top of the line Del Frisco’s” but for a time there it was along the lines but then dropped to an average restaurant. I think the menu has improved, the service definitely improved but I miss the svelte waitresses in black skirts & fancy tights & the waiters that were also so called “eye candy” as my wife and daughter put it. Although they’ve made the restaurant for the “common folk” it’s missing its luster but it’s coming back I think . Anyway, Alyssa our waitress tonight was “Better than the meal and drinks” she made the night! Her service was impeccable, over the top and outstanding. She was conscientious, observant and pleasant! By far the “BEST” service we’ve had there in a few years! The girl deserves a raise but not a promotion b/c we need her serving no managing! But “show her the MONEY!” I’ll be requesting Alyssa from now on!!! and I have a huge referral base! Doc & Pam

Dinner at White Dog Cafe Glen Mills tonight was AWESOME! We had two family friends with us, who are husband and wife, and have had been going through a rough time after the loss of their son, so this was a good escape for them. Anthony was our waiter, he was fun to talk with as always! For drinks, Mom had water, Dad and I had soda, and our friends had Cokes, one diet and one regular with lemon. For appetizers, Mom and Dad ordered the Squash Bisque, with roasted pumpkin seeds and chilli oil: they really enjoyed it as always! The wife friend and I ordered the French Onion Soup, which was served with sourdough bread, Swiss, and provolone cheeses. It was yummy! For the main course, Dad ordered the Koch Farms Hot Turkey Sandwich, which had whole roasted turkey, cranberry-orange chutney, and herb turkey gravy, served on white bread, with a side of plain fries. It was like Thanksgiving dinner in a sandwich! He liked it! I ordered the White Dog Double Cheddar Burger, with just cheese and grilled red onions, and without the Green Meadow Farm Smoked Bacon Mayo, bibb lettuce and tomato, served on a brioche bun with a side of fries. We also ordered a side of the Roasted Brussels Sprouts, which were served with Pennsylvania maple dressing and bacon. They were so delicious, I took the rest home! The husband friend got the burger with everything. and a side of fries. The wife friend got the same burger but without the brioche bun, and a side of fries. Mom ordered the Vegan Cheese Burger, her favorite! It had double smashed patties, vegan cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, adobo steak sauce, romaine lettuce, and mushroom "bacon," all served on a sweet potato bun with a side of fries. She enjoyed it! dessert, Dad ordered two scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, and a cookie on top. Our friends and I ordered the Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, served with a shortbread cookie on top. The new manager, Dan, was very friendly. Thanks for dinner! See you again soon!

We loved our private tent meal. Atmosphere could not have been better - unique, intimate, beautiful. Will say that there were many menu items that were out and therefore unavailable to us. This happened the last time we came to Terrain as well. Two entrees we had planned to order were sold out. The wine we chose was also unavailable. As was the dessert we had selected. This was disappointing. The food we ended up with was delicious. Hopefully the problems with inventory will be remedied - we will be back to try again.

We love it at Harry's. Food is always amazing. Our waiter this evening was great. I should say that the entire staff is wonderful. This the 2nd time in a week we have eaten there. Will be back again next week for my birthday. YUM!
