Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Cumberland

The service and the ambiance was great. From my point of view, the french onion soup lacked depth with the broth and the cheese was less gruyere than Emmental. The St-Jacques was ok, the scallops were quite small and the flowered potatoes lacked taste and was a bit dry. The sauce was also less thick than usual for a St-Jacques. However, the service and the food was great and the staff was very welcoming. Being French, I may be a bit picky, but overall I liked my experience and I would highly recommend going to Cocotte.

Great, cozy, date night spot. The food was creative and full of flavour. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Everything I would expect in a fine dinning establishment.

We had an exceptional time at the shore club. The floor manager was so kind to chat with me earlier in the day to accommodate seating after my husband hurt his leg and had a limited ability. The service was outstanding. Michael was knowledgeable and kind. He offered us a variety of suggestions for our meal and drinks and was very attentive. He was quick to check in with each course and helped to make the experience a truly unique one. The food was a cut above anything else available in Ottawa. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the timing of the meal was perfect. It was our first visit but we will be back. I would like to highlight the staff- the Shore Club clearly has a high standard for who they employ and all staff from hostesses, to busers, to wait staff, to management went above and beyond. Again, thank you Michael- you’re a rockstar
