Best Seasonal Restaurants in River North (Chicago)

My son’s 22nd birthday with my husband and his girlfriend. It was their 1st time, our 2nd. The garlic bread was so amazing we ordered a second one. The lasagna was the BEST I’ve ever had. I make a good piccata, but my son finished almost all of his dish! Chicken Parmesan was “fine” (get the lasagna).

This was my first time dining at RPM and it will not be my last!! The food, the service, the ambiance, all 10s!!!! But the food!!! OMG! What I like about this outstanding restaurant is they give you good portions of absolutely delicious food! And an elegant, first class dining ambiance with VIP service. I think my server’s name was Matty. Good date place, great place to dine w friends or a special occasion. Highly recommend! My only big complaint….the bar area was filled with gorgeous women!!! NEED MORE MEN PLEASE!! @RPM how about adding a cigar bar to attract the fellas??

Love it here! Our first round of pita was cold and they quickly fixed that. The classic hummus is very pricey and there wasn’t much in the bowl but it is so good! The almond and garlic spread is superb. Waiter was awesome.

Dom the moment e arrived we knew we’d picked a great place for our first night in Chicago. We had a mocktail and a glass of red whilst waiting for our table. Lovely decor and ambience. Our waiter was very helpful and talked us through the menu. Food was outstanding. We had calamari, fried shrimp and crab linguine. They gave us a complimentary slice of key lime pie. Oh my god this dessert was amazing. We were so full after dinner we were going to skip dessert and this arrived!! It would have been rude not to eat it. The whole experience has made a great start for our 4 nights stay.

The food was fabulous. We had the veal meatballs, the arugula salad and our wood fired pizza was 1/2 the specialty Kale and 1/2 the Funghi - which was exceptional. The ambiance was so Italian Restaurant. Perfect. And the service, the service was EXTRAORDINARY!! Pam served us and from the recommendations to her personality to the timing - wonderful. And her table attendant - Denny - was incredibly prompt and didn't miss a thing. We will be back.
